Alright (Daedelus’ Werk)
I’m not timely with this mix. It is long after the rap’s been spit, yet how can you not try to wrestle with the words and see if they might be purposed to today? Speed and plosives here. Mid deranged kicks and distorted toms. Lots of little moments as I try to better my craft.
Fun fact. In high school I was in a jazz quartet called “Tres Gatos” (a name that never made sense) with Terrace Martin who kept playing incredible saxophone and features all over’s Kendrick’s albums. Hearing his output over the years has been an inspiration.
