Badfoot – Leave The Past Behind
Brought up by the 90s Pacific Northwest grunge scene and 80s DC hardore/punk scene. Badfoot has a wide range of influences to draw from creatively. A guitar tech throughout his twenties, He spent the better part of 10 years traveling and working on the road. Hanging up his hat in the repair and tech portion of the music industry back in 2013; Badfoot wasn’t sure where to go creatively and completely left music in the dust to pursue a career elsewhere. With a brief stint in banjo making, a short pursuit in tattooing, and plenty of random odd jobs, He eventually joined forces to co own a small business with his wife in the art and Vintage industry. Which has allowed freedom to be creative.
He finally realized it was time ROCK! He starting collecting gear and eventually started writing and recording music. His first release was recorded at a small studio in Nashville. Unhappy with the production and frustrated with the experience, He realized he could do it all himself and removed the middle man. With all the gear collected to record and write; he started Hardcore outfit Parting Of The Ways. With one release from POTW under his belt (self released and self prodeuced) he starting writing even more songs in the vein of Grunge and/or Punk Rock and thats how BADFOOT was born! Heavy and somewhat melodic riffs mixed with a passionate yelling and screaming. Songs of positivity and looking to the future to leave the past behind. You can hear some influences from Minor Threat, Nirvana, and maybe a hint of Husker Du.
