Wicked Shimmies is comprised of surviving members of 1970’s Oklahoma psych-punk pioneers Debris’ (who released the seminal freak-out behemoth “Static Disposal” in 1976): Chuck “Dick Dark” Ivey and Johnny “Pump” Gregg” along with local veteran sibling garage-rockers Race and Rory Baker. Wicked Shimmies utilizes past reverberations of damaged R&B, soul, punk, and free-form noise that are sure to vaporize your brain down to a dank simmer suitable for late-night driving, house parties, derealization, ventures into primitive hypnagogic euphorics, and deep space-punk ejaculations.
